Client: Workbooks
Workbooks offers cloud-based CRM software to SMEs. It is a popular, affordable alternative to similar tools offered by Salesforce and Sage. We were involved in the production of their mobile client, enabling existing users to access the service on the move.
The challenge
Workbooks were keen for a solution that would hook in to their API and operate on Apple as well as Android devices including both phones and tablets, however they wanted a single codebase to minimise development time and costs.
The solution
We developed a solution using the Sencha Ext JS framework. In this way the underlying code was reliant exclusively on standard web technologies (like JavaScript and HTML5) but could still be published for multiple mobile operating systems.
The results
Since launching the Workbooks Mobile Client, Workbooks continues to gain traction in the CRM market and has consistently received a Top Rated CRM Platform award by its users on TrustRadius.
