Business Development Opportunity

Earn commission finding qualified tech leads for an established UK digital agency

£19k – £36k annual earning potential
Commission-only. No retainer, no employment commitment. Casual affiliate basis, work it around your other activities. Simple 2-stage structure: qualified meeting + contract signing.

Who we are

Go Tripod is a comprehensive digital partner based in Cornwall but operating throughout the UK. We combine software engineering with strategic digital marketing to help businesses transform and scale in the digital economy.

We're not a startup or single-service agency. We're an established full-spectrum digital partner offering development, strategy, design and marketing services to businesses across the UK and Europe.

What we're looking for

We need someone with connections in the UK tech sector to find and introduce qualified leads. You don't sell, scope, or negotiate, that's our job. Your job is to identify prospects who fit our profile and get them to agree to a first meeting.

Ideal background

  • Network in businesses across any reasonable sector
  • Experience in business development, sales or senior advisory roles
  • Comfortable qualifying prospects and having budget conversations
  • Based in the UK (remote working, but UK network essential)

Not essential, but helpful

  • Previous experience with digital agencies, system integrators or consultancies
  • A broad understanding of custom development, digital transformation or marketing 
  • Relationships with CTOs, CPOs, Heads of Product, CMOs, or Digital Directors, Business owners.

How you get paid

Two-stage commission structure with flat fees, predictable earnings, no percentage calculations:

Full-spectrum digital services from £10k projects to £300k+ programmes:

  • Develop Custom web/mobile apps, API integration, eCommerce platforms
  • Maintain Technical support, hosting, performance monitoring
  • Modernise AI/ML integration, cloud migration, system upgrades
  • Strategise CTO-as-a-Service, digital transformation, solution architecture
  • Design UI/UX design, user research, customer experience
  • Marketing Strategy, Branding, SEO, content marketing, campaign management, automation

Target client profile

  • Company size: £1M – £100M revenue, 10+ headcount
  • Sectors: Any sector — technology, professional services, e-commerce, manufacturing, education, healthcare
  • Decision makers: CTOs, CPOs, Heads of Product, CMOs, Marketing Directors, CEOs with technology or marketing initiatives
  • Budget: £10k+ for projects, £4k+ monthly for retainers/marketing
  • Geography: UK primary, EU acceptable

How it works

1. Lead identification: You identify prospects matching our client profile through your network, industry events, referrals, or research.

2. Initial qualification: You have discovery conversations to understand their need, budget, and timeline. We provide question frameworks and qualification criteria.

3. Conflict check: Before progressing any prospect, you register them with us for conflict clearance (are they already a client or in our pipeline?).

4. Qualified handover: Once qualified, you introduce them to our MD for a first meeting. You step back — we handle everything from there.

5. Commission tracking: We update you on progress and pay commission when contracts sign. Monthly reporting, 30-day payment terms.

  • No employment tie: Casual affiliate basis. Either party can stop participating anytime.
  • No retainer risk: You only get paid when we get paid, but you get paid even when deals don't close (Stage 1 & 2).

  • Quality focus: We only want qualified leads, not meetings for the sake of it. Quality over quantity.
  • Market-rate start with upside: We're starting at market rates to test the partnership. Deliver quality leads that convert and retain, and we'll pay above market for proven performance.
  • 6-month performance review: Commission rates will be reviewed at 6 months. Strong performance in lead quality and conversion will be rewarded with rate increases.
  • Clear expectations: Flat fee structure, defined client profile, qualification criteria. No guesswork.
